*** i'm now in perth, waiting for gals to get up. haha.. last night we had a great chat over the restuarant and hotel lounge... and our topic was- BFs. it is quite hard to believe tt this is the first time we have met each other and we hit off so well. we tot of changing bali nightstop next week and party all night tgt but i will have to do flts back to back if i change... so i decided to give tt a miss. i guess this is wat pple considered as fate, which brings us tgt. :) ~me~ at 10:34 AM

i dun wanna be taken for granted. maybe im wrong at this but this is how i feel... always doing something for pple but seldom gets appreciated, often gets forgotten. somehow makes me feel im wasting time and efforts on them. pple who i acknowleged to be my closer frens doesnt seem to be so anymore. we seem to drift away alot alot... hmm. *sad* i hate to be a substitute. u made me feel so. i dun like to be ordered ard and kept under close supervision. this cant be helped.. in the working world there bound to have such things... until the day i become my own boss? ha. i hate myself for being so weak. i wished i can be stronger so i wun be made used. i wished i could just say anything tt im unhappy with; directly in ur face. i have been keeping alot of unhappy things within me... this is so unhealthy. i wanna be more positive with life. the most impt factor to alleviate all the above probs. quote of the day (from pig's blog): "Self-pamper is better off then no-pamper when there's nobody to spoil me." ~me~ at 7:55 AM
guess this theory works. whenever im back after a long flt, i'm always pampered with nice food and showered with love. :) it was a great dinner tonight, esp with ren n yen ard... *** for the past 2 days, i was on the sts of taipei doing shopping and makaning! the food there is awesome. i love those snacks and desserts they sell... if i din eat the hearty shabu-shabu last night, i will def buy the stinky doufu. hee. shoes n clothes were everywhere at their night mkts. i went to 4 of them in total: wu fen pu, shilin ye shi, ximen ding and the last one i think is tong hua jie. im not into their fashion for clothes but more interested in their SHOES. designs and cols are much more nicer than sg's and most shoes go at a flat rate of 390 new taiwan dollar, which is considered really really cheap loh. mum said i shd have bought a few more pairs so she could wear them as well! :) bee: i cant beat ur 5 pairs of shoes record. haha~

i was quite scared actually cos dunno wth they will do to us. in the end, they just issue us a parking ticket. okie, money solved the prob and hope it wun affect xf in anyway. on our way downhill, we actually spotted 4 police cars in total. how hardworking sia. lesson learnt: do not assume tt police dun come out often at night. i couldnt find amanda today so i went out alone to get pig's stuff and food for myself. its nice to walk alone at times... u force urself to learn to read maps, rd signs and be careful of surroundings. i finally took the courage to tok it out. yupz, kinda cleared my doubts. seeing bran, kenneth and frens in a few hrs time. :) ~me~ at 8:13 AM

time: 8:20pm venue: Millennium Biltmore, LA. waiting for xf to pick me up for dinner. feels terribly sleepy now actually. i din do much except gg to farmer's mkt and the groove to pick up some items. haha.. this is so coincidental again. if the hotel didnt have the transportation to farmer's mkt, jj wun be able to get more of her peanut crisp. weather is bad the entire day.. wet everywhere. somebody asked me, "wats so nice abt looking at stars?" hmm.. i told him tt i just feel good when u can lie down and admire the twinkling stars above u and reflect on things. wat kind of things? any kind i said... and it will be exceptionally nice if the person tgt with u is someone u love. haha.. maybe im still like a child, thinking tt stars can actually hear u out, and make all ur wishes come true.. maciam fairytale story. haha. are u coming yet? hmm.. ~me~ at 11:09 AM

yup, started work last evening after 2 weeks of break. i wasnt quite into working mode but at least i din make any terrible mistake. hee. actually it does make me feel more enthu to work after a rest. last night i has an encounter with this maas who bothers to rem our names. hey.. for an old ang moh to pronounce a cheena name like mine is not easy k. and he got it correctly. *clap clap* it feels good to be recongnised. back to taipei, yup i dun think i will do too much things today since i have to leave for a midnight flt later to LA. wait till i return and wipe shilin market, ximen ding and this dunno wu something rd. haha. oh man, i cant even get the name rite... nm, amanda noes the way. today is miss piggy ang's bday. i wonder how she is in aussie.. havent seen her like a yr?! i really miss her. happy 23 ger! :) ~me~ at 8:31 AM

anyway, inorder not too make myself feel too miserable by kept tossing on the bed, i got up and watched 2 episodes of laguna beach, i went to fren's blogs and listened to my fav music. suddenly my phone rang, xr smsed me. she was surprised i was up already. this happening gal is still not home. wonder wat she is doing out there boy. nm, i can interrogate her later this afternoon. supposed to accompany my mum to my cousin's wedding this morning... but i decided not to go already cos this cousin isnt tt close to me. gg there is simply to show my aunts tt im still ard... i prob will be bored there. so i might as well rest at home and get ready my luggage for sunday. speaking abt weddings... i just received many news abt frens and relatives gonna get married. amanda this dec, stacey's next yr may, 2 cousins having it next yr too, colynn aug 2007, carol 2007. oh man... does this show tt pple my generation r entering the next phase of life? im still young for tt. hee. yup, my 500th entry ends here. i shd return to bed to get some more sleep. ~me~ at 5:55 AM

i fell into deep sleep for like 2 hrs before my mum starting to "nag" me up. just feel too tired... glad tt i din promise the pigs tt i will meet them at orchard at 7pm. haha~ i shall contd will my 2nd part of the journey... day 6, 8 sept checked out of miyako hotel and the 2 gers carried their huge luggage to LAX, waiting to board southwest domestic flight 2226 to tucson. journey there was only 1 hr or so.. an easy one. it feels nothing much like taking a bus. haha. and during tt short journey, mary actually spilled oj over jj's jeans and her jeans on the flight and gotta wash it when we reached the guys' place. zh came to pick us up at the airport and it took us half an hr to drive to his apartment. on the way, we saw a huge field of old aircrafts, catcuses along the road, mountains and not many human walking ard. basically theres nothing much to see in tucson except for the cactuses tt interest me more. haha. day 7, 9 sept left their home at 9 plus in the morning to park place mall. our part time dishwasher drove us there and left us at this childcare centre. so the 2 gers just spend the whole morning and afternoon makaning and shopping. we took a cab to foothills mall too, a place which has cheap levi's, nike and quiksliver stuff. dinner was sushi buffet tt almost choke us to death. keke. day 8, 10 sept set off at 6:30am to phoenix and then to las vegas. benette was our wonderful driver for the day! it wasnt easy k... abt 9 hrs journey to vegas! on our way, there were many beautiful sceneries which include much more and bigger cactuses, ones, cliffs, moutains, dams... and not forgetting the warning we had for speeding. oppz. las vegas strip is happening sia. bright neon lights when the night falls, huge roller coaster at newyork newyork hotel, ALL sorts of shows and many theme hotels basically... u get to see the pyramids, lions, mini paris, huge musical fountains.. etc. and every hotel has their own casinos, restuarants, clubs. yup yup... pretty faces and well dressed pple are everywhere. late into 2am, the streets are still buzzling with life.
we were at hard rock cafe tt night and their servers were the most happening bunch tt i have ever met. when tt "YMCA" song was played, all of them came tgt and dance with the music, of cos with tt std ymca moves. haha... and they do cheer out loud for those celebrating bdays there. fun. day 9, 11 sept off to the the gorgeous grand canyon!! and i was double confirmed to be one who is afriad of height. ha.
we took a long time on the roads before returning to zh's place... reached home past midnight. day 10, 12 sept jj and i slacked at their place, baked brownies for dessert at night and had a short mj session. haha.. surprisingly, i actually won during mj. day 11, 13 sept time to go home! zh sent me to the airport and there i was back on the plane ride. it took me more than 24 hrs to get home man. yawns... but it was really nice to see familiar faces onboard - sachiko san! i managed to get some chocolates too. keke. sly mary. pax load was EXTREMELY light so i had the whole row to myself. yeap, managed to sleep better this time round. yup yup.. basically tts how my trip went. many funny little things did happened on our way, like how jj genna suaned, crazy mary posing at disneyland, zh acting like a little boy, blanket in the hotel, berg trying to pose for a "show", benette's char kuay teow... all these sweet memories will be kept deep inside my head. :)

after resting for like 4 hrs, i woke up... guess im too used to GMT -7 now. after breakfast, i did the most dreaded thingy- unpacking of luggage. clothes to be washed, gifts to be given, packing back the standard stuff in my bag, refills for my bottles for the upcoming trip on 18th... im supposed to meet up with colynn and carol for some wedding hunting stuff.. *omg.. another fren getting married* but i just feel too giddy to get out of the house. this is how bad the jet lag effect is. so i decided to stay at home instead and prob do some blogging wrt to my wonderful trip. :) day 1, 3 sept dad drove me to the airport like any other day but this time round i feel much more relaxed. checked in and waited quite long for my plane to take off. travelling alone is torturous esp with such a damn long flight and lots of waiting... anyway managed to chat with 2 sistas from LA who were sitting beside me for the 2nd half of the trip; they were v friendly, lucky me. watched like 4 movies during the journey cos i couldnt sleep. hmm.. its difficult to find a comfortable position to sleep u see. reached LAX the very same day at abt 1pm. seeing jj and zh at the arrival hall just makes me smile... i gave jj a big hug when i saw her. we managed to get ourselves to miyako hotel, located at downtown before heading to santa monica. i was like a walking zoombie lohz, dark eye circles on tt pale looking face of mine. santa monica is still as nice as i was there in feb but this time round with many pple hanging out at the beach. its summer, boy! day 2, 4 sept the entire day was dedicated to visit the universal studios. in there, we r all brought to the fun of movie settings, special effects, reality shows, rides... its damn crowded cos its sunday. day 3, 5 sept supposed to visit disneyland but zh wasnt really interested so we decided to explore elsewhere. took the metro and walked ard hollywood, beverly hills, rodeo dr and finally to century city. basically the shops ard beverly hills are those of higher end and hollywood is supposed to have the best chill out places and clubbing scenes... (din realise tt cos we went there in the day.) everywhere has abercrombie, GAP, guess and the so famous victoria's secret. our legs were abt to break tt day with the walking we did. oh, we also visited this huge tower records stall with many "death cab for cutie" albums. i wanted to buy one for zf but i dunno which one he needs.. so i dropped the idea. dinner was at this ramen stall near our hotel and we explored little tokyo after tt. ha. we got ourselves a neoprint too. :P day 4, 6 sept wanna wake up slightly earlier to visit chinatown but all of us were too tired.. we just sleep all the way till 11 plus when zh needs to go to the airport; to return to tucson. wat did jj and i do then? we slacked until afternoon b4 we got the maps and set off to melrose ave. a place with many shops again, mostly of the young trendies. the t shirts i saw were damn nice can?! i guess somebody will love tt kind of designs. haha, its amercian culture mah. next was to the farmer's market. it was like any other mkt but super clean n dry. someone actually spotted me there and toked to us. haha. its kinda amazing when pple know where u r from. "r u japanese? nope im singaporean." anyway theres a stall selling singapore delicacies in farmer's mkt. ha. the groove is the next place we went, right beside the farmer's mkt. feels as if u r along the walking st of europe, a much more beautiful one. gotta go there n feel it urself...
day 5, 7 sept day at disneyland, anaheim. we kenna conned by the travel company to depart at 0730 in the morning to pick up other pax from hollywood, beverly hills, melrose ave, santa monica before we head for disneyland. so by the time we reached disneyland... it was 1100. duhz... disneyland, so called the happiest place on earth by the theme park is kinda true for me. u get to see all the cute cartoon stuff, the fanasties tt u had when u r much younger, the happy faces on the little kids and on their parents and those irresistible souvenir... it does give u tt magical feeling. :) btw, the park is celebrating their 50th anniversary now, so its better to visit the place on a weekend when there are fireworks! too bad we miss tt. finally, i have fulfilled another of my childhood dreams. ~me~ at 2:20 PM
lalala.. mary is back home. no place is better than my pig sty. hee. the journey back wasnt fanastic when i had to run for 3 flights, feels giddy and the urge to vomit. but im feeling better now. time to sleep! :) ~me~ at 2:48 AM
time: 11:21pm hey hey.. i havent been online for quite sometime and i do miss hitting the keyboard and of cos moi online kakis. :) how are u guys? the last few days have been really bz, tiring yet fun for me n jj. from gg thru 18hrs of flight to endless of walking at universal studios, disneyland and streets of LA. hmm.. weather here isnt v great cos the sun is hot in the day... tt caused my burns; whereas at night, it can be rather chily. haha.. so to wear warmer clothes or lighter ones is a big question. heck, i still prefer my singlets and t shirts. met up with xinfeng and we had a great dinner at the cheesecake factory.. yum. wat a sinful dinner tt night, with delicious pasta and rich chocolate cheesecake! yup, this cheesecake factory was located at the groove, LA. this is def a splendid place to spend the night! how i wished sg has such a place like tt. haha.. we reached tucson this evening and was welcomed by berg's homecooked dinner and the hospitality of the other 2. the feeling here is def much more homely than i was in LA. shall see wat we can do tmr since the guys will be bz, prob some shopping again. keke.. guess i gtg now.. seeya~

just now vinod was telling me tt he will be driving down to LA over the weekend, asking me if i wanna meet up with him. haha. i doubt i have the time cos my schedule is so packed for that 3 days and i will be running ard. if we have fate, we prob will meet each other at universal or disneyland bah? haha. anyway, the other 3 guys in arizona will be coming down to LA as well. seems like a huge reunion of frens in LA eh? i cant believe tt i will be seeing so many familiar faces in a foreign land. exciting. i wonder how much will i spend for this trip... is my cash enuff? hmm, mary is quite a shopaholic u noe. keke. actually im also a little anxious for the flight cos i will be all alone for abt 20hrs and i gotta find my way out in LAX. pray hard tt i wun die of boredom on the plane. gotta go out to collect stuff for mr goh. hey, i wanna charge courier fees. ~me~ at 5:23 PM
this question brought me back to one of the lectures i had in sci foundation. its of one my fav topic.. haha. Chinese New Year It can be shown that Chinese New Year will always fall between Jan 21 and Feb 21. Most of the time Chinese New Year will fall 11 (or 10 or 12) days earlier than the previous year, but if that would take us outside of the Chinese New Year range of Jan 21 to Feb 21, we must add a leap month, so Chinese New Year jumps 19 (or 18 or 20) days later. the above is a result of mathematical cal, difference between the chinese calendar and the gregorian one (aka solar). its amazing eh? so cny will fall on 29 jan 2006. i can go n bid for my leave now. haha. ~me~ at 12:46 PM
